Motivation
I am 24 years old and I recently started my Ph.D. studies in physical chemistry at Bielefeld University, Germany. My research is based in the field of polymer sciences with a focus on cationic microgels and other colloids. I would be very happy if I could be a part of the 2020 SCCPLS online summer school as it is a great opportunity to expand my knowledge. As I am very eager to learn, I would love to expand my knowledge on both already familiar and new research topics. More importantly, the comprehensive program of lectures and discussions with other researchers also enables the possibility to get in touch with other perspectives and see already familiar topics from another point of view. Since my research involves cationic microgels that could be used for bio-conjugation and gene delivery, I would also love to take the chance to extend my knowledge in the fields of biopolymers and biomedical/pharmaceutical applications. As most summer schools and lectures are postponed or canceled due to the current pandemic, I appreciate your efforts to carry out an online summer school with a very interesting and diverse program. It would give me great pleasure to be a part of it.
